Yes, clonazepam can normalize sleep problem, if it doesn't, then ask your Psychiatrist to restart Tryptomer at lower dose (~25mg per day) and you can safely continue it indefinitely without any long term side effects.

I would advise you to visit a Psychiatrist (I'm not sure if you were in touch with one, or were visiting a general physician) and have yourself evaluated thoroughly. It may be so that you're having another depressive episode (the sleep disturbance may be a warning sign) and must be treated properly. Clonazepam alone would give you relief temporarily, but will not help with depression, which, I believe, is the cause of the sleep disturbance in the first place.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychiatrist at your earliest convenience
Health Tips
Maintain Sleep Hygiene: follow a proper sleep schedule, do not use your mobile just before going to sleep, read a book (no e books) before you go to sleep, try clearing your head of all thoughts when you lie down and focus on your breathing.

Hi there, A detailed medical and psychiatric history is always needed for every patient. In addition, a detailed mental status examination is also recommended for every case to come for a diagnosis and its management accordingly.
Next Steps
Your main worry is about the tapering of the clonazepam and its effect on the sleep. Greater chances are,It should help you to get back to a normal routine . But if not , a review of your detailed medical history and psychiatric history will be needed. Do start doing the Yoga relaxation exercises. Avoid having heavy food in the dinner. Have your dinner two hours prior to your sleeping time. Use your toilet before going to bed. Be positive in your thoughts.
