Inguinal hernia surgery 2 month baby boy
Hello Pediatrics surgeon is it safe for 2 month old baby to go for surgery?? Currently diagnosed with inguinal hernia 0f 17x9.3 mm in the right inguinal region with evidence of omental and bowel herniation extending up to the scrotal sac. Vascularity is maintained. Minimal free fluid is noted. Please suggest is it safe for 2 month baby to go with open surgery under local anesthesia.

It is generally safe. But every case is different in such small children. Kindly visit a paediatric surgeon in person with all papers and investigations.
