Ingrown Toe Nail
I am facing an issue of ingrown toe nail and have been trying to get rid of it on my own. I just had a word with one of my dermatology doctor friend who suggested to use Moisturex for a week and stop cutting the nail till it grows straight as I have slops on my nail extremes. I do not have pain but it hurts if it gets in contact with anything. Please suggest because I don't want to go for the surgery to remove it. What are the precautions and suggestions?

Ingrown toenail is difficult to treat without surgery. As your friend advised, you shouldn't cut your nail too close to the pink area of your nail. Make square edges and not sloping ones.
If you develop any pus, you may require antibiotics.
Avoid wearing shoes which are closed in front.
It is recommended to undergo nail avulsion and lateral matricectomy as it is a more permanent solution.
