My son's nails are not growing at all since last 5 years. Neither of hands nor of feet. What problems he can have due to this? And what is the treatment so that nails may start growing??

Hello there...I can understand your concern. Are you absolutely sure his nails are not growing? Or is the growth very slow? Nails(finger) usually grows at the rate of 1mm every week. Toe nails a little slower. Nail growth is usually affected in systemic diseases or vitamin deficiency. He will need detailed clinical examination and further investigations. So kindly consult a dermatologist for further evaluation.
