Information about tetanus vaccine
I cut my finger with a rusted needle, it was bleeding. I washed the wound immediately with soap, water and antiseptic Dettol solution. I have not recieved the childhood course of tetanus vaccine, but I have recieved atleast 10 tetanus vaccines from 2005 to 2019. I recieved my last vaccine in 2019. Doctors say that the tetanus vaccine validity is only 6 months, but according to some doctors it should not be given for atleast 5 years after the last dosage. Is it necessary to take 1 now? Please advice. Thanks
