Info. Regarding pregnancy

Asked for Male, 30 Years

My wife is carrying now. This is t 4th mth. Doctor is doing scan every time me when we go for t monthly check up. Is tht t scan is good for the baby. Most of my friends said tht scan will give some issues. So avoid scanning everytime. So please give me t correct info. for this.

ultrasound is perfectly safe for the baby. It is proved that ultrasound is is harmless. its just a sound energy which is converted to light and image. it's not a radiation. so don't worry. but every month scan is not required as long as the doctor feels that the pregnancy is not progressing well. a scan at 6 weeks, 12 weeks and 20 weeks is mandatory. Other scans are subjected to doctor's discretion. you can ask your doctor why the scan is asked for when she gives you the prescription. If you are satisfied then go ahead. ultrasound is perfectly safe. ....
