Infection problem. Suggest what to do!

Hello Doctor I had a cut on my vein while shaving 10 years back and it left a kind of opening for many years everything was normal now from 2 years in a gap of few months the vein gets infected swollen with smelly white yellowish discharge from it , discharge occurs when I press the vein then the discharge comes out of the opening, i did it many times and after discharge I clean the opening with Dettol and everything becomes normal again but after few months same thing happens, but this time the vein was more swollen and a big pus filled block was formed I again pressed it and pus discharge came out and i cleaned it with Dettol now everything is fine again. I want to know why this happens again and again and how I can treat the opening so it never happens again, I am little scared now why this keep on happening and is it have some serious effects ( the vein is the vein on lower side of penis which runs from bottom to tip of penis) please suggest what to do
