Increasing sugar levels

What are the other factors contributing to increase in sugar levels apart from food? I have stopped Rice and sugar intakes in my diet. Also i take my medicines : Diabend M regularly but still my sugar levels at 190 fasting and 376 after meals. Also i have developed extreme pigmentation on my face and neck, could it be side effects of medicine as iam having it since last 3yrs.

High Sugar levels are indicative of insulin insufficiency or insulin resistance. You should review your treatment. Please consult with Diabetologist or endocrinologist. Pigmentation is due to uncontrolled diabetes. Proper treatment may help to address your problem.
