Incorrect amoxicillin dosage
Hi. A Dr prescribed amoxicillin 125 mg oral suspension for my 10 year old son. 5 ml contains 125mg. She wants me to give him 20 ml 3 times a day, which is 500 mg 3 times a day. This seems excessive to me. My son weighs 32 kg. I think he should be getting half that dosage. He has bronchitis and tonsilitis. Your advice would be appreciated.

Helo sir. Well sir your doctor prescribed the right dose . Since I have calculated the dose with your child weight It is ok.. If u can get a 250 mg solution. 10 ml wil be fine.. Hope it’s useful ☺️
