Implant showing dark line around gum
My ceramic crown dental implant is done in early 2013. I saw recently that it's showing this black gum line on the inside of tooth. It does not pain or no discomfort. I am able to chew as usual. Can you guide me by seeing photo as to what exactly has happened? And do I need to take urgent action?

It could be due to gum recession on that teeth or could be due to metal exposure of crown or could be discoloration of gums due to crown metal part. For proper treatment plan consult doctor online or offline.

It looks like metal exposure of the crown and the discolouration of gums is probably due to leaching of metal caused due to the exposure. Gums are in healthy condition though, no signs of inflammation. If it’s not bothering you in anyway other than cosmetic reasons, then nothing to worry. And if you are concerned about it, then you can visit your dentist and go for another crown (eg Zirconia).
Next Steps
Visit your Implantologist and get a follow up IOPA X-ray done to check the condition of implant and the bone surrounding it and replacing the crown if need be. Hope this was helpful.
