A healthy person with no medical issues have strong immune system, eg army personnel's , then how even he gets sick, say with a bacterial infection , Why can't he's immune fight that off, Why even a healthier person gets sick badly and needs medical treatment . Is he's immune system sometimes sleeps or what?

It is like a war between the body and enemy, no matter how strong your immune system is, if the enemy can find a way to get inside the barrier and is stronger than us, it will cause an infection.
