Ibuprofen + paracetamol
Hello, is it OK to take ibuprofen and paracetamol together at the same time for fever, cough, and sore throat? Or it's better to take them separately with some time gap?

For fever , first line drug is paracetamol Most fevers subside with the same , take paracetamol 650 mg 6th hourly Ibuprofen is recommended only in very high grade fevers not subsiding with paracetamol But in such cases it is important to find out the cause for such high grade fevers You may take tab levicetirizine 5 mg bd also along with paracetamol

Dear Patient, Thank you for your query regarding the use of ibuprofen and paracetamol together. Both medications are commonly used to manage fever, pain, and inflammation, but it is important to use them correctly. Here are some key points to consider: 1. **Combination Use**: Ibuprofen and paracetamol can be taken together, but it is generally recommended to take them with a time gap to avoid potential side effects. For example, you can take paracetamol first and then ibuprofen a few hours later. 2. **Dosage and Timing**: Always follow the recommended dosage on the packaging or as prescribed by a healthcare provider. Overuse or incorrect timing can lead to adverse effects. 3. **Consultation**: It is advisable to consult with a healthcare provider before combining medications, especially if you have underlying health conditions or are taking other medications. I strongly recommend a consultation to discuss your symptoms and receive personalized advice. For further consultation and to discuss your health in detail, you can reach me directly on WhatsApp at **Eight Zero Zero Nine Eight Two One Three Three Two**. Take care .
