Hi I pill is an emergency contraceptive pill to be used in emergency situations . Unfortunately its been used frequently and erratically as it is available over the counter. Its a high dose progesterone and when taken frequently can cause hormonal imbalances and erratic periods. Short term low dose contraceptive pills can be taken for a cycle and can be continued as it contains very low dose hormones which will not cause hormonal issues and erratic periods. Condoms either male or female can be used. Hope you are convinced. Best wishes.
