I pill is an emergency contraceptive pill to be used in emergency situations . Unfortunately its been used frequently and erratically as it is available over the counter.
Its a high dose progesterone and when taken frequently can cause hormonal imbalances and erratic periods.
Short term low dose contraceptive pills can be taken for a cycle and can be continued as it contains very low dose hormones which will not cause hormonal issues and erratic periods.
Condoms either male or female can be used.
