What was the surgery about? I am guessing it was wisdom tooth removal or something similar. Well, soarness as u described can occur due to multiple reasons including viral infections and post surgical swelling.
Next Steps
Revisit ur surgeon and see what he/ she has to say
Health Tips
Keep noticing whether the soarness increases or decreases according to the time of the day, activity involved, ur posture (standing/ lying). Any other associated symptoms?
