You may be having planter fascitis or calcaneal spur(for this x ray is needed)
Most of the conditions i treated were bcos of faulty footwear... change the footwear ... wear a well cushioned shoe..or put heel cushion silicone pads this will do a world of good for you..if this fails to bring relief you can opt for OTC pain medications along with therapeutic Ultrasound and planter stretching exercises..... This 2 therapies combined will bring relief to 90% of the patients..
IF still your problem persist then a Steroid injection at the site of pain is the prefferd option but should be the last option.
Hope this helps you
Take care.
