I am suffering from Gynaecomastia.
Earlier I had the pain but now it has subsided. The swelling is my main concern as it doesn't look good.Is there a way to tread it other than surgery??

Hello Greetings from Dr. Ritesh Agrawal, Indian Breast Clinic, New Marine Lines, Mumbai. Thanks for sharing the details of your disease. Many times, Gynecomastia at this age is physiological. Hence operation can be avoided. Some hormonal tests are required to ascertain the cause of Gynecomastia. However, if you still wish to get an operation, then there is a special procedure called subcutaenous mastectomy. After that the appearance will improve. Usually in this age it is pubertal gynecomastia which settels on its own within 2 to 3 yrs. But u need to be clinically evaluated for understanding the cause and supposed to do some hormone tests. Based on that further management whether medicinal or surgical or combined is  decided. So better see a endocrinologist  in ur vicinity
