Hysteroscopy
How safe is getting a hysterectomy? Will it effect my fertility later? And when can i plan after this? I had a miscarriage in june and then dnc . My doctor wants to get this done to check for polyps. I am little scared to get it done.

Hello! In my opinion it is better you go ahead with the hysteroscopy as your usg report mentions that it could be polyps. Also could be remains of previous abortion.

Hello Hysterectomy is removal of uterus, obviously after that you can not plan pregnancy. Probably your doctor is talking about hysteroscopy which means putting a hysteroscope inside womb. It is a safe procedure, if done taking all precautions. It can guide us if any endometrial pathology is responsible for miscarriages.

Hysteroscopy is good for removal of polyps . Ask your doc to remove the polyps in same sitting for better implantation if embryo and prevention of miscarriage
