dear practo user usually weight increases in  hypothyroid patients... so firstly it is mandatory for your to for proper thyroid profile test ( includes T3,  T4, TSH,   FREE T3 ,  FREE T4 ) after which we can conlcude whether hypo- or hyper- thyroid. once diagnosis is confirmed than we can treat you permenantly without any side effects and ( without any thyroid medication to take life long)
Next Steps
Take Homoeomedicines 1. SULPHUR 200-5DOSES DAILY EARKY MORNING EMPTY STOMACH 2  IODUM. 200-6-6-6 PILS FOR 2WKS AND revert back after too weeks

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Firstly, you have not mentioned your height and weight when your question itself is on WEIGHT! Usually in hypothyroidism the weight increases which gradually comes down with treatment and peoper diet. So your question becomes wrong. Kindly consult a general physician in person for further evaluation and management.  Your weight could be low due to something else and not hypothyroidism.  Have a high protein diet. Eat frequent meals. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
