I have thyroid since years and I am on eltroxin. However I havent been to a specialist - is it needed or just taking the medicines is enough? I do tests every 6 months and the levels r fine.

I would recommend you to consult with a general physician/ENT specialis at least for once for proper assessment of the thyroid region..to rule out any lump/nodules..
