Hyperthyroidism food to eat and avoid
My mother had been suffering from hyperthyroidism for long time. And weight is also increasing. What is the best diet for hyperthyroidism and how often we have to take thyroid test.

You mean hypothyroidism ? If her TSH is more than normal range, she shd take Thyroxin ( the dose as per the Dr.),empty stomach in the morning with water and do not eat anything for 45 min.Avoid cabbage, cauliflower, soy products.Eat a balance diet, exercise for 30 min.TSH shd be checked 6 wks after the medicine have been taken and the dose titrated as per the Dr

Hyperthyroid patients lose weight...maybe u meant hypothyroidism. . If so avoid all goitrogens like cabbage, braccoli Use iodised salt for cooking..these are general measures.. It's better to keep a good control of hypothyroidism
