Hydroxyapatite deposition disease
Hydroxyapatite deposition disease. Has this disease ever been associated with malignant hyperthermia? A family member of mine recently underwent surgery for a cholecystectomy. In the following months he started experiencing severe muscle pain and also pain in his shoulders and knees. He was recently diagnosed with hydroxyapatite deposition disease, and I was just wondering if this is some sort of variation of malignant hypothermia that could've been brought on by the anesthetics?
