Hydrocephalus
My father is suffering from Hydrocephalus, doctors have suggested shunting surgery. Is surgery the only solution or can he be treated by medication as well?

Hydrocephalus is a mechanical problem. It is collection of CSF (water-like brain fluid) in the brain due to blockage of the outlet pathways. A mechanical problem like this can not be treated effectively with medicines. A CSF diversion procedure like Shunt surgery is necessary.
