Macular degeneration is a progressive disorder .It's progress can be checked to some extent by use of antioxidants and vitamins or diet RICH.in these contents,e.g. green vegetables and fresh fruits. And taking care of any underlying pathologic conditions like hypertension, diabetes, malnutrition etc. Regular eye check up and use of proper specs and immediate treatment of any local or systematic illness is important.
