How to treat difficulty in swallowing with sore throat

Hi I am 28 year old male, I have started withy very dry cough with sore throat since 2 days. Because of the sore throat it is very difficult to swallow any solid food. I can only have liquids. Kindly suggest some medicines to treat the sore throat. Also suggest some home remedies too?
