How to make sure I have a splinter?
I was tearing a net last night and felt like I got a splinter in my finger. I couldn't find it nor I could see a cut on my skin but it feels like a pin prick when I press that area. I read that in case of a splinter it can form an abscess filled with pus. I wanted to know how long will it take for the abscess to form in case I have splinter. I can't visit a doctor due to lockdown in BLR so asking here.

If you have persistent pain or swelling for more than 3 to 5 days then chance of foreign body in skin are there
