Hi
You have to loose weight if your are overweight or obese..when suffering with sleep apnea for that matter..
Your BMI is 28 as per your current age, weight and height, and your body fat percentage is 24..
Your ideal weight should be around 71.7 kgs..
For sleep apnea first and foremost you should loose your weight for that you should follow a strict diet containing less calories and more nutrient dense foods..
A calorie deficit diet is advised followed by physical activities both morning and evening without fail... activities such as brisk walking, steps up down, situps, power yoga, surya namaskar, cycling, swimming, dancing , aerobics, stretching etc are helpful..in controlling sleep apnea..
And putting your pillow high will help you in giving little comfort for sleeping..and relieve choking, snoring etc..
And have a glass or half glass of warm water before going to sleep at it's also very helpful in this condition..
Avoid eating outside completely, only home cooked food, small amount of food in limited portions, high fiber diet, low complex carbs, moderate plant protein , No to animal protein, low GI foods, low fat dairy, no oily or greasy foods, no deep fried items, no outside junk or fast foods, no heavy meals, no fasting or feasting, no binge eating, drinks lots of water , no to sedentary lifestyle, good sleep and rest with necessary mentioned steps to manage sleep apnea..
