How much sugar level is desirable
Desirable/Normal level of sugar for a diabetic patient before and after lunch? My mother is having 305 after having medicine & food. Is this serious??

before any meal desirable sugar range 120-140mg/dl 2 hours after any meal-150-180 mg/dl Not serious...its an emergency.....its silent killer...be cautious....

The glucose targets in a diabetic person varies from person to person depending on many factors like age, co-existing diseases,  etc. Anyways, your mother's levels are quite high.. It is important to control it as soon as possible to prevent complications in future..

Yes too high normal is upto 140 and in older and sick patients upto 200 may be acceptable.
