How long do keloids grow?can be stoped?

Asked for Male, 28 Years

I have a 9 year old chest keloid and it still itches some times. Not always but some times. One doctor told me that since it's itching it's active and will keep on growing. I know keloids aren't really Full y treatable and grow back stronger So I wanted to know if at any point whill it just stop growing?
