Hole in ear drum
I had a hole in both the ear drum 10 years back, the doctor said it will heal with time. But with the time span now I feel that I have loss little hearing, is it true that it heal by itself. If not is it damaged more now. I don't want to get operated, what are the chances?

Majority of tympanic membrane perforations do not heal spontaneously. They must be closed by tympanoplasty. Perforated TM gives rise to recurrent ear discharge & deafness. If you want to get relief, you have to undergo surgery.
