Patients with hiv have very low immunity, so they don’t generate antibodies towards infections, but again these depends on the individuals immune status, but patient on ART usually have better immune status than patients who are not on treatment. So they may generate antibodies, but antibodies decline with time even in normal individuals, and in hiv patients that decline can be earlier and again it depends on individual to individual, there no hard and fast data on this yet.
