Histrionic personality disorder symptoms
As diagnosed with HPD, I am struggling with therapies. The main concern for me is I cannot stick to any hobby/task/therapist/work/study. Other areas of my life are under control. But the tendency to always try new things and not sticking till end is making people not respect me and me as less responsible person. Is this something I should consider for therapy or It can be managed by will only?

Hello, Histrionic Personality Disorder is part of Cluster B personality disorder whose main characteristic is being dramatic, emotional, or erratic. People with HPD often tend to base their self-esteem on others' approval, which makes their self-image distorted. Not being able to sustain your focus on a task for a long time is a manifestation of your disorder. Most of the people with help tend to lead a normal life while others find some difficulty in intimate relationships, depending on the ability to hold and sustain a job. Seeking new things to do like adventure might even lead to putting one's life at risk. Therapy is always a good option for people diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder because the medicines alone can’t help you change your thoughts, behaviour, and beliefs. You’ve to look at this like a programmed software inside you, which is prewired to think a certain way, and only with the help of a professional can you rewire and think differently. As you’ve mentioned, you’re “struggling with therapies” for which no reason has been mentioned but I presume you haven’t found your right match in therapists. I hope you found this information helpful, living with a disorder can get taxing. Hence, seeking help can help you. Finding a clinical psychologist and taking it forward is recommended.

Hi... Who diagnosed you with HPD? What tests (self report inventories) were conducted before making such a diagnosis? Such diagnosis must come from a Psychiatrist after a proper Psychiatric evaluation or by a Clinical Psychologist after conducting several tests over a period of time. Please don't self diagnose or take random opinions of professionals. The symptoms you have mentioned are common in some other Psychiatric disorders/mental health issues, as well. HPD is found to have root in genetics, abuse/instability in childhood, etc. Its treatment involves Psychotherapy (talk therapy) primarily but a Psychiatrist consultation is advisable.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychiatrist for diagnosis and a Psychologist for Counselling/Psychotherapy.
