Hello Doctor,
My husband's triglyceride count is quite high from last 4 years ranging 400 to 600. we have Incorporated diet changes in last 6 months like adding fish and reducing any other type of meat. Also he is consuming very less oil and sugar but no affect in triglyceride count. He is not taking any medicines as of now. Pls suggest how to lower the triglyceride count and does it create heart risk.

Hello,
He needs medicines in addition to lifestyle modifications. His triglycerides are too high. This could be a familial hypercholesterolemia due to a defective gene that runs in families.
Take care
