Current spectacles power is -8 and for the last 10-12 years has kept worsening. Is surgery a good option and what kind of surgery would you suggest?

Refractive surgery can only be advised after pachymetry and retinal examination for -8 D. At the age of 30 years going for refractive surgery is not a wise decision  because around 40 years everybody needs glass for reading and u will be reading without glass throughout your life if u don't undergo refractive surgery at present . these days due to side effect of hair dye most of the people are having early cataract. You will be having zero power after cataract surgery if u desire at that time. At present if you go fr refractive. Surgery , you will be without glass only for 10 years . After refractive surgery , cataract surgery is difficult. Now you can take your decision yourself.

hello lasik is very good option to get rid of glasses Doctor will perform few tests (Schirmer test, Pentacam and Fundus examination) and if all tests are normal then you can go for lasik surgery without fear. Success rate of LASIK is over 96%.
