High Homocysteine
Hi, I got a test done and my homocysteine level is >60 micromol/litre. I want to understand what does this indicate?

high homocystein is considered as risk factor for ischeamic heart disease as well as for stroke so if its high then u need to find out cause for it ,if u r pure vegetarian then its likely that ur homocystein is high ,ur vit b12 level needs to be checked and treated if low that will reduce the homocystein level ,u have to cut down weight if u r overweight or obese , consult ur physician for evaluation of cardiac or stroke risk and start on treatment
