Hello sir / ma'am My mother 61 /F was diagnosed with Hb A1c 6% today. Report is attached for your reference. At present she is only taking High BP medicines Telma 40. Please suggest if she needs to start medicines for Diabetes sugar control

Her HbA1C test shows average sugar over the past 3 months and it is suggestive of prediabetes. At this stage would recommend diet and exercise and 10 % weight loss, and check HbA1C with fasting and pp sugar in lab in 3 months to assess for improvement. If it stays the same or worsens , then medication will be required
