High fasting morning blood sugar levels
My fasting blood sugar level is always high in the morning 101-116. Doc says to watch cakes, and chips. I work out 3/4 times a week. I bought a monitor. 2hrs after every meal my BS level is between 90 and 110, even before bed. During sleep BS level increases up to 130 (3am -4am). 9am do not eat yet BS at 110-120. Eat breakfast test 2hr later BS 94?

There is nothing unusual about it. It is because the body produces sugar on its own when we are asleep or fasting. Your levels are not alarming at present,  however your doctor is absolutely correct in advising you dietary and lifestyle changes to prevent the levels from going up furthur.
