My mother is taking Telvas 20 for High BP but not effective. When she takes Nicardia Retard 10 BP drops down quickly. Also Amlovas 5 gives her back pain so she stopped. Her weight is 65 and cholesterol level is 253 tryglyceride is 155 & LDL cholesterol is 169. Shall I change medications ? Her diet is only home food without oil, fruits.

Better to Monitor BLOOD PRESSURE at home ( using portable BP machine) ... preferably both in morning and evening...
Screen for diabetes/ thyroid disorder...
If able to walk- advice daily walking for 40 minutes atleast...before changing medicines need to do blood tests..
