BP is on the higher side when is heart rate is normal. If this is for the first time diagnosed hypertension, she needs routine investigations like thyroid function test, renal function test, urine, ultrasound abdomen, sugars and lipid profile. Cardiac evaluation with ECG and Echo Is advised.
She needs lifestyle modification with low-salt diet, regular exercise walking, meditation and yoga. Keep regular monitoring of BP if the readings are persistenly elevated and no secondary reason his found she definitely needs on starting and BP medication. Kindly consult after the investigations so we can guide on drugs.
