Hello. My name is Andy and I am 20 yrs old. In 3 August I was diagnosed with pericarditis and myocarditis and the cause was not identified to this day. Anyway, now, after a few months, I was requested to do another MRI since my heart looked normal on ultrasound and the electrocardiogram was also looking good. The conclusion of my MRI sounds like this: "Suggestive fibrosis injury, postmyocarditis, at the myocardium level VS. FE VS=66%". After seeing this, my doctor switched my medication with som

Hello Andy, most commonly pericarditis and myocarditis is idiopathic or viral induced. Most often these get resolved with no permanent damage.In your case as MRI itself says that EF is 66%, which indicates that there is no permanent injury.i think post this result your steroids or colchicine must have been stopped. I think there is nothing to worry as of now. Continue the medication as per clinical consult .
