Oral herpes as such are milder, non serious infections, which resolve by them selfs, some times we use anti viral medications to hasten the resolution process. Unfortunately herpes virus remains dormant in the nerves, which may cause recurrent infections. So in infections resolves by itself but recurrence is common.
