Heel pain .
I used to run frequently on treadmill for 2kms, but since past month any kind of physical activity leads to severe heel pain right in the centre of heel coz of which I had to stop all activities. The pain was so severe that even wearing formal shoes used to hurt the heel area. What seems to be the cause and how long till I can resume my running. Thank you

Hello, Heel pain is a very common foot problem. The sufferer usually feels pain either under theheel (plantar fasciitis) or just behind it (Achilles tendinitis), where the Achilles tendon connects to the heel bone. Even though heel pain can be severe and sometimes disabling, it is rarely a health threat . Common causes are neuropathy (multivitamins supplements will help) , plantar faciaitis(rest and pain killers will help) , heal spur, please consult a orthopedician for further workup.
