Most probably the Laryngopgaryngeal Reflux has resulted in acid Burns in your throat mucosa causing an itchy throat with foreign body sensation! You need to quit smoking as repeated refluxing along with the toxins in the smoke can lead to throat cancers due to chronic inflammation.
