My mother feels heaviness while she is walking. She describes heaviness in a way we feel while walking uphill. When she is sitting she is fine. Is it some illness? She has been feeling this for a year now. She is diabetic and has deficiency of Vit D. Last time when she got the routine tests done..everything like b12 bcomplex all were fine. She frequently takes vit D supplements also.

You have not specified where is this heaviness? Head, chest, feet, or elsewhere.
I presume it's chest heaviness. Then we must rule out angina pectoris.
Next Steps
Get an ECG, and a stress test ( stress echo/ TMT) on under supervision.
Health Tips
Avoid exertion that produces chest heaviness.
Get thorough evaluation.
Diabetic cases are also known to have silent heart attack. So don't take things lightly.

I suggest since she is diabetic and complaining of heaviness while walking which in medical terms is known as dyspnea on exertion
u might need to get a 2d echo of her to check the condition of her heart.
