Can heart problems come from genes are they hereditary my father passed away from heart attack but he used to smoke even had open heart surgery before And if it s hereditary can it be avoid

If you have strong family history then you might be predisposed to Coronary artery disease. What you need to do is regular cardiac check up , healthy diet and exercise. This will help a lot to prevent this sort of problems. Prevention is better than cure .
