Mild palpitations and some anxiety are common in early pregnancy, mainly from rising hormones and the emotional adjustment to a new pregnancy. A mild increase in heart rate on its own usually doesn't harm your baby's growth. Poor sleep and mood swings this early are also common and don't need urgent treatment by themselves.
Next Steps
Try to rest, keep yourself hydrated, and avoid caffeine, which can make palpitations feel stronger. Share how you're feeling with your obstetrician at your next visit so they can check your pulse and reassure you directly.
Health Tips
See a doctor the same day if you feel breathless, faint, or your heart races very fast even while resting.
