Is proper latching necessary for growth of baby? What if baby dont latch properly,will it affect health of the baby? If it does affect then in what ways

Proper latching is very essential for the baby to be able to suckle properly and also for the orofacial muscles to develop well.
Most importantly if your baby doesn't latch well, he/she won't be able to feed well and also it will hurt your nipples and will hamper further feeding
