Health consultation for  5month old baby
My son is 4 months 20 days old..he never makes eye contact when held or during breastfeeding. But will make occasional eye contact while lying on bed.He occasionally responds to my voice and turns in direction of sound.but if he is playing with some toy he does not look towards other toy or sound. He has not started cooing or babbling also. When he was 2 months old he started cooing but has stopped since 3.5 months of age..He smiles  and also follows objects and grabs toys..is this normal??is there a developmental delay or any underlying issue??should I wait or is there some problem?when can I expect him to start making sounds?pls guide

Babies start to babble at 3-4 months of age. The baby needs to be assessed in person by a pediatrician.
Next Steps
Please visit your pediatrician the earliest to rule out any underlying issue.

Cooing, smile and playing toy is normal. But not having eye contact is a serious issue.
