Headache blurt vision
Since 2023, I have been experiencing episodes that start suddenly with blurred vision. After a few minutes, I develop a headache, usually around the temples, and the severity of the headache seems related to how long the blurred vision lasts. Sometimes I also experience nausea, goosebumps, fatigue, and a feeling that I might feel better if I vomit, although I do not always vomit. These episodes initially occurred about once every 3 months, then once a month, and recently every 2–3 weeks. In the last 2 days, I have had back-to-back episodes. Sometimes deep breathing or drinking water seems to help, but I am not sure. My blood sugar is normal, my general blood tests 3 months ago were normal, and an MRI brain scan done in early 2023 was also normal.

The clinical presentation you described—where a sudden visual disturbance (blurred vision) precedes a throbbing headache (often around the temples) and is accompanied by nausea, fatigue, and autonomic symptoms like goosebumps—points to a few specific possibilities: Migraine with Aura: This is the most common fit for your symptoms. A "migraine aura" frequently involves visual disturbances (blurriness, blind spots, flashing lights, or zig-zag lines) that last anywhere from 5 to 60 minutes before the headache begins. Nausea, a strong desire to vomit to feel better, and fatigue are classic accompanying symptoms. Autonomic Dysregulation / Vestibular Migraine: The inclusion of goosebumps suggests a mild activation of your autonomic nervous system during the attack. Deep breathing and drinking water helping you also aligns with calming the nervous system or resolving mild dehydration, which is a known migraine trigger. Transient Ischemic Attacks (TIAs) or Occipital Seizures: While a normal MRI in 2023 makes structural causes unlikely, sudden visual changes followed by headaches can occasionally mimic these neurological events.
