Good afternoon
Considering his age he needs to undergo a renal function test. If the renal function test is normal, do a computed tomography with intravenous urography scan. If renal function test is deranged, get a non contrast ct scan. This will ascertain whether the stone is obstructive or not. Depending on that the further management is decided.
