HCG levels fluctuations
My wife is pregnant through IVF treatment. It was confirmed through the home test kit and then HCG 5000 injection was administered and by beta HCG test, hcg level of 1427 came but again after 3 days when we conducted test hcg level declined to 987. Hcg 5000 injection and progesterone is administered to my wife and the period has also not come. Is there anything to worry about that hcg level has come down? Kindly guide

Ideally Beta HCG values should double in 48 hours in a healthy pregnancy. Declining values might indicate a failing pregnancy. Wait and repeat the test after 48 hours and consult your gynaecologist.
